Smart Design CI

Please join the SMART team to raise awareness and funds for the 6000 homeless kids on San Diego streets aged 12 - 24.

Ask your friends, co-workers, and family to donate or participate in this fun event with live music, a 5k walk, vendor booths, and great raffle prizes. 

Children 5 and under are free, and bring Fido along too!

Manda & the SMART team!
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page! 

As many of you may know, Manda has been a volunteer with the organization Photocharity for quite a few years. This year (on her birthday actually) she got a call to also join the Board of Directors! 

The recipients of the funds from Photocharity's efforts is what got Manda so involved. Storefront is the ONLY emergency shelter for San Diego's youth, ages 12 - 17. The program not only provides food and shelter, but teaches the kids to become productive adults. Information on the program can be seen at this link:

There is common misconception of the kids who end up at Storefront; that they're rebel runaways that didn't want to live with their parent's rules. Most of these children came from a abusive household, where it was better for them to leave home. These kids have been shown that they can trust Storefront through the outreach team that goes to the streets every day, providing supplies, and convincing the kids to come in to take the first step in starting a new life for themselves. 

Please help continue to empower these kids, and to help start a new shelter for 18 - 24 year olds (many of them homeless after leaving the foster system) by either donating or participating in this year's 5k walk!
