Team EMPOWER is raising money for Photocharity National Walk and Concert on November 12, 2011 to benefit Homeless Youth in San Diego

2000 homeless youth in San Diego ages 12-17 and 4000 ages 18-24 NEED YOUR HELP!!!

There are an avarage of 2000 homeless teens under age 18 every day in San Diego. Majority of these teens are "throw-away" children come from abusive situations and have nowhere else to go.

Team "Empower" will be walking on November 12, 2011 as part of our fundraising effort for Photo Charity (savehomelessyouth.org). Proceeds to benefit SDYS Storefront Emergency Youth Shelter for 12-17 year olds and House of Hope Beds for 18-24 years old. 

The Storefront has over 80% long-term safe placement of these children. Besides receiving food and shelter, these teens must return to school, get a GED, or be trained for a job to remain in the program. During their stay at the shelter they are instructed in life skills education to better prepare themselves to become a productive part of their community.
